Traveling has always fascinated me, and I have explored different corners of the world, including Europe, the Mediterranean, United States, Mexico, Jamaica, and Canada. My heritage has always driven my fascination with other cultures, as my parents are from the Netherlands.

AmaWaterways River Cruise - Twin Balcony cabin
When I embarked on my 7-night cruise, I was delighted to find that my stateroom was spacious and luxurious, boasting outside views and a twin balcony.
The Entertainment on Demand system kept me entertained with a great selection of movies, TV shows, news, and music, while the mini-fridge, desk, and sitting area provided added comfort. I appreciated that the bottled water was replenished daily.
During the cruise, you can take advantage of the Wellness Program, led by a dedicated host who offered exercise classes, discussions on healthy eating, and relaxation techniques both on board and on shore.
I was impressed with the array of amenities on the ship, including personalized service from a highly trained Cruise Manager, internet and Wi-Fi access, a sun deck pool with a swim-up bar and walking track, a fitness room, massage services, and a hair salon.
I also enjoyed the daily entertainment in the Main Lounge, which had panoramic views and a bar.The food on the ship was outstanding, featuring regionally inspired cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients in various venues, such as the Chef's Table specialty restaurant, Captain's Welcome Cocktail and Dinner, and La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs exclusive dining experience.
I also appreciated the unlimited wine, beer, and soft drinks served during lunch and dinner, as well as the unlimited sparkling wine and fresh juice with breakfast. The daily Sip & Sail Daily Cocktail Hour was a definite highlight, offering complimentary wine, beer, spirits, and soft drinks, alongside tapas, sandwiches, snacks, and refreshments served daily in the Main Lounge.
During the cruise, I explored each destination with immersive tours, including gentle, regular, active, and late-riser options, bike tours, hikes, and special interest tours. The guides were knowledgeable, and the personal headset provided an easy and informative exploration experience.
Overall, I highly recommend Amawaterways river cruises. The attention to detail and the fantastic amenities and entertainment options made for an incredible experience. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and I felt like I was well taken care of throughout the trip. Each destination was unique, and I appreciated the flexibility and variety of tour options that allowed me to explore at my own pace.
